Important announcement to all members: due to the recent changes my webhost made to the server, some members may experience problems with login. The fix: from now on, please try to login from these URL's:

Filet section: http://smartcrochet.com/members/
Clothes section: http://smartcrochet.com/fashion/

If you have the old URLs in your bookmarks, please re-bookmark these new ones. As you see, the difference is that there is no "www" in URL and there is a trailing slash "/" at the end of the link.
The old links still work though, but they may ask for your username and password twice before letting you in, which is quite annoying :)

Or, as an alternative, you may try to enter from these URLs:
http://username:password@smartcrochet.com/members/
http://username:password@smartcrochet.com/fashion/

Replace the words "username" and "password" with your own login information.

If after using the new URL you still cannot login, then please read below.

If you are trying to access the Members Area, please make sure that you've typed your Username and Password correctly. Here is a list of possible errors:

1) you are probably not a member or your payment has not been received yet.

2) your account has not been activated yet. It usually takes up to 24 hours to activate your account.

3) you mistyped your username and password. Most likely the problem is:

- you put an extra space at the end of the word. This is the most common mistake!!! And almost invisible one. Please don't copy and paste the words, instead type those in manually. Also, place cursor at the very end of the line (as far as it can go). If you see a gap between cursor and last letter, erase this gap or your login will not work. You wouldn't beleive how many folks keep entering "username " instead of "username" and wonder why is it not working :)

- your login is case sensitive! Please type in the words exactly as they appear in the activation e-mail. "Username", "username" and "USERNAME" are three absolutely different words as far as computer is concerned :)

- don't use your e-mail address as a username! Your username is whatever it says in your activation e-mail, and not your e-mail address. Your e-mail address has nothing to do with login.

- you probably just forgot your username and password! In this case, please e-mail me and I'll gladly re-send you your login.

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

I almost always set up your username and password as you request. But in some cases I have to change the words or names of your choice. The number of members is constantly growing and as the result, more and more usernames get taken. Also, your password should be 6 characters minimum, but some folks ignore this rule and request a password with 5 characters or less. The same applies to spaces in the username and password. Whatever is the reason to change your original username and password, I ALWAYS send you an e-mail with your changed username and password. I also ALWAYS activate all accounts in 24 hours and send you an activation email.
